So there’s International Day of Peace, and International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, among many others. A cause for every day. That’s something to think about.
It’s been eight months since getting arse off couch and inching out of comfort zone. I thought waking up at 6.30am to travel for an hour or more would take its toll sooner or later. It hasn’t had an effect. And then you understand what it means when people say work for passion and not for money. Because passion can carry you through tiring times and money only takes you that far. Then again, if money’s your passion, whoop-di-doop!
It’s been a while since I’ve felt like a kid all over again. Eagerly anticipating a letter, crossing my fingers hard in hopes of getting a preferred duty for the day, counting down the days till the event. Excited, excited, excited. Paws n Purrs at the SPCA. 182 guests and counting, ignoring kings of pangseh. Come and join us in our celebrations, support a cause, or at least learn about one.
4 October 2009, Sunday. It’s a date.
